During my community engagement work including workshops, residencies, and installations, I provide access to sewing and hand craft materials that expose techniques to children, youth and adults. These sessions connect attendees with the legacy of making communally inspired by quilting bees, and removes barriers such as gender or lack of funds. My practice also includes craftivist work, in which I contribute to stitch projects that gather works from artists across the world raising awareness of social issues in group projects. I am open to developing and participating in many types of work around textile access.
